FC Minneapolis stumbles to lose league opener

Updated Tuesday May 6, 2014 by Ian Smith.

After a spectacular display of energy from the home team, Warlock's right forward chipped his ball over FC Minneapolis' goalie, Bill Trethaway to make it 1:0 in the first quarter of the first half. Things looked brighter for the City Borns as Will Moore aimed his shot for the equalizer only to be stopped by the visitors' keeper.
The game moved off balance in favor of the visitors allowing them to score 5 more goals destroying every hope FC Minneapolis had of coming back into the game.
FC Minneapolis had two golden opportunities to register 2 home league goals when Ian Sendi swerved in two well powered crosses from the right flank, but his counterparts Chen Yifu and Alex Kueng failed to convert them accordingly. FC Minneapolis returns to St Louis Park HS Stadium this week on Sunday to face A. Tonic at 6:30pm.
